December 22, 2020

Greeting School Without Walls Community,

During this holiday season, I want to encourage everyone to reflect on what this community has accomplished despite the pandemic.

Our faculty and staff have worked tirelessly to implement virtual instruction and to provide mentoring, social/emotional learning and academic support to students. As a result, our students have been able to rise to the occasion to meet the new challenges presented by the pandemic.

Notwithstanding the lack of in-school instruction, our students have continued to stay engaged in the school community by participating in numerous extracurricular activities. Additionally, our seniors continue to apply to colleges and universities locally and across the nation. We are proud to share that the Class of 2021 has continued the SWW’s tradition of academic excellence as many of the seniors have begun receiving college acceptances and scholarships from all over the country.

This year, the SWW’s parent community has also gone above and beyond in a year that has been far from normal.  The parent community has hosted fundraisers, organized school-wide activities, and collaborated with stakeholders to ensure additional resources are available to our faculty and students. Accordingly, we would like to thank the Home and School Association (HSA) and the Local School Restructuring Team (LSAT) for your continued support and collaboration.

In this season of giving, please accept our heart-felt thank you to the SWW community for all your hard work and dedication this year. Happy Holidays and have a rested break.

Sincerely,

Sylvia Isaac,

Interim Principal
