Administration Updates: Tech Distribution, Progress Reports and Reopening

Please see some important updates and information below:

Technology Distribution
We will not distribute technology tomorrow, 12/23, but will distribute technology and KRF Metro cards on Wednesday, 12/30 from 11am-3pm. Please stop by the school then, if you need a laptop.

Progress Grades
Progress Reports are now available on Aspen. Families can login through Aspen.dcps.dc.gov with their personalized login credentials. If you have issues logging in, please reach out to Kip.Smith@k12.dc.gov. Families and students can monitor their Aspen gradebook to ensure that any unsubmitted assignments (coded as WS) are completed and turned in, and assignments receiving less than 63% (coded as F) are reviewed and requested to be revised, if possible. Please note that we wish everyone a safe and restful Winter Break and hope families can take this time to organize and plan for a strong end of Term 2 on January 29th.
*Do not expect to receive responses to emails sent to teachers and/or counselors December 23rd-January 3rd as they are out on much deserved breaks.

Reopening Plans
As we approach the end of Term 2 (January 29th) and plan for the Reopening of schools at the beginning of Term 3 (February 1st), we will keep the community apprised of finalized plans for staffing and student return. While the current plan focuses on bringing back our 9th grade students, as well as students who are struggling with virtual learning in all grades, we will not be able to identify or offer any students seats until our staffing is finalized. We thank you for your patience as Administration plans for the best and safest return for our students and staff.
