Penguin Pride: One of our own students has won the national 2020 Song Writing Challenge!

It is with great penguin pride that we share that Viola Durfee, a Sophomore, has won the national 2020 Song Writing Challenge. Viola was one of 12 winners that were chosen by review panels of professional theater artists in a blind competition from almost 200 applications submitted by high school students in 41 states. The next phase is that each winner will be paired with their mentor and music director to begin work in September with recording planned for November. We look forward to hearing her recording!
