Penguin Pride: A #SWWPenguinTrot Thank You from Mr. Matthews
A huge THANK YOU goes out to all in our community who were able to participate in our Virtual Penguin Trot over Thanksgiving break. While we all might not celebrate Thanksgiving, we can all appreciate time spent together with our family and friends along with the importance of exercise not only for our bodies but our minds as well. We know many of you participated in various ways whether it was biking, going on a walk with your family and pets, playing a little football or futbol, or just enjoying the outdoors in your own way. Shout Outs to my 1-2 Fitness & Lifetime Sports class for accepting the challenge and to two of our awesome teachers Mrs. Jimeno and Ms. McGlennon for completing the challenge. Big thanks to the Moscoso-Mills family along with the Maxfields, the Shaws, the Shalatys, the Takacs, the McGraws, the Saydahs, one of our alums Maddie Breeden, and to all those that I may have missed. You all are appreciated!!
While we march toward the end of the 2nd Term and the temperature continues to drop outside, we invite you to continue sharing how you and your family are keeping active and fit with your minds & bodies during the pandemic and winter months. With this #PenguinsMarchTogether Invite please use the hashtag...feel free to share pictures from game nights, walks, bike rides, hiking, recipes, dances, and more... Thanks Again!! Continue to be great and keep safe!
Coming in February….
We are inviting you all enter to the 3rd Term strong with a StayFit February Challenge! A 4 week/28 day event where we will share workouts, recipes, and activities from our various clubs and community members to show how penguins huddle together and support each other in the toughest environments and the most difficult situations. If you have any ideas for virtual events we could host together in February, please feel free to reach out and we can work together to help each other stay fit and active!
