Counseling Team Update: April 10, 2020
I hope everyone is monitoring their grades in ASPEN and taking advantage of being able to make up assignments for 3rd advisory.
Revised Term Dates (All Schools)
Term 3 will be extended until Thursday, April 23rd.
Friday, April 24th will serve as a records day for teachers.
When students return on Monday, April 27th, term 4 will begin and students will have until Friday, May 1st to submit any remaining assignments for term 3.
Term 3 grades will be due in Aspen on Friday, May 8th and report cards will be sent home on Tuesday, May 12th.

SAT Scores are back! Please log in to your College Board account to view these scores if you have not done so already. DCPS created an FAQ page regarding SAT School Day and Test Prep. Below are a couple of notes on ways you can access test prep virtually:
Students may still access free, individualized SAT test prep, including 8 full-length practice exams via Khan Academy at khanacademy.org/sat
Students may also use the College Board Daily Practice app to answer daily questions and receive immediate feedback. Students can download the app via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Kaplan is offering Free SAT prep for a month and AP prep streaming on YouTube live. Please click here to access the SAT/AP prep. Also, Kaplan’s on-demand CCLR courses are available here.
Virtual Community Service Hours are available for students interested in earning hours while home. Find Virtual Community Service opportunities HERE along with a fillable community service form. Please log all hours on the fillable form to submit.
DCPS has created a Guide to Graduation Document for every student. Use this document on how to access this information in ASPEN. The document is very informative so please take a look. Please continue to use Naviance to research colleges you may be interested in attending while creating your list of “colleges I’m thinking about”.
Class of 2021: This is just a reminder, Brag Sheets are due to me on or before May 20, 2020! I will used this information to write your college letter of recommendation. Please find the brag sheet form HERE.
