AP Exam 2020 Information
Important AP Exam and Enrollment Information
Good Evening School Without Walls Students,
The purpose of this email is to remind all AP students that administration and your teachers expect you to take AP subject exams. Your teachers have worked hard to prepare you to succeed on these exams, and it is important that you participate in taking the College Board test. Students who take their AP exams will receive participation credit for Advisory 4. Administration and faculty wish all students much success on your exams!
1. We have received some information that some students have encountered issues attempting to upload their answers on their AP exam today and yesterday. We want to be sure that students are reviewing the guide, specifically pages 12-14: apcentral.collegeboard.org/pdf/ap-testing-guide-2020.pdf
For students opting to write their answers by hand and upload an image, the picture file must be in either .png, .jpg, or .jpeg formats. Some phones, namely iPhones, will save the images as .heic by default. Here is a guide for how to convert the images. The students also have the option to take a picture directly from the testing platform, which will help them avoid this issue:
When attempting to attach a picture of a hand-written response:
• Take picture of the hand-written response
• Send picture to your email
• From email, click on picture and Save As
• Save to your desktop (or in a folder you will be able to find)
• Change the name: AP ID and Initials (ex: 1234MH)
• Click Save
• If you are on a Mac, you may need to click on the file and click Save again to be able to save the file correctly
• All photo files should be saved as .png, .jpg, .jpeg
• Once the photo is saved in the correct format, download and attach to answer document
